Alicja w Krainie Czarów- oryginalnie Przygody Alicji w Krainie Czarów (ang. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland) – utwór angielskiego wykładowcy matematyki Charlesa Lutwidge'a Dodgsona (pseudonim Lewis Carroll) opublikowany 4 lipca 1865. Dosłownie angielski tytuł znaczy Przygody Alicji w Krainie Dziwów. Pierwsi polscy tłumacze oddali Wonderland jako Krainę Czarów, chociaż w książce czary nie występują. Książka zachowuje absurdalną logikę snu, jest wypełniona satyrycznymi aluzjami do przyjaciół i wrogów Dodgsona, parodiami szkolnych wierszyków, których uczyły się w XIX wieku brytyjskie dzieci, zawiera także odniesienia lingwistyczne i matematyczne. Utwór jest trudny do sklasyfikowania. Maciej Słomczyński pisze w przedmowie do Alicji w swoim tłumaczeniu, że „jest to zapewne jedyny wypadek w dziejach piśmiennictwa, gdzie jeden tekst zawiera dwie zupełnie różne książki: jedną dla dzieci i drugą dla bardzo dorosłych”. Kontynuacją utworu jest Po drugiej stronie lustra.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland- (commonly shortened to Alice in Wonderland) is an 1865 novel written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. It tells of a girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. The tale plays with logic, giving the story lasting popularity with adults as well as with children. It is considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre. Its narrative course and structure, characters and imagery have been enormously influential[3] in both popular culture and literature, especially in the fantasy genre. Książkę rozpoczyna wiersz, wyjaśniający genezę jej powstania i opisujący wycieczkę po Tamizie. Alicja, spędzając leniwie czas ze swoją siostrą, widzi Białego Królika w ubraniu, niosącego zegarek kieszonkowy. Podąża za nim w głąb króliczej nory i spada głęboką studnią, mijając półki pełne dziwnych przedmiotów. Po bezpiecznym lądowaniu w długim przedsionku znajduje szklany stół ze złotym kluczem. Szukając dziurki, do której by pasował klucz, znajduje małe drzwiczki, a za nimi piękny ogród. Jest jednak za duża, by się przez nie przecisnąć. W końcu znajduje małą butelkę z etykietą WYPIJ MNIE, wypija i zmniejsza się. Niestety klucz zostawiła na stole i teraz nie może go dosięgnąć. W końcu odkrywa i zjada ciastko z napisem ZJEDZ MNIE. Na skutek zjedzenia ciastka Alicja rośnie na wysokość 9 stóp. Płacze, tworząc kałużę łez. Biały Królik przebiega przez sień i jest tak przestraszony widokiem Alicji, że upuszcza swoje rękawiczki i wachlarz. Alicja wachluje się nim, co powoduje jej ponowne zmniejszanie, ale szczęśliwie przerywa przed zupełnym zniknięciem. Pływa w kałuży łez i spotyka Mysz, która śmiertelnie boi się kotów. Dopływają do brzegu, gdzie spotykają mnóstwo ptaków i innych zwierząt, także mokrych. Jeden z ptaków, Dodo decyduje, że zwierzęta powinny się osuszyć w Wyścigu Kumotrów, który nie ma żadnych reguł oprócz biegania w kółko. Po pół godziny wyścig kończy się i każdy wygrywa, więc każdy powinien dostać nagrodę. Alicja oddaje swoje słodycze na nagrody, sama dostaje w nagrodę swój naparstek, a Mysz opowiada jej swoją długą i smutną historię prześladowań przez koty. Rozdział kończy się, gdy Alicja opuszcza uczestników wyścigu. Biały Królik myli Alicję ze swoją służącą, każąc przynieść parę rękawiczek i wachlarz. Alicja idzie do jego domu i znajduje butelkę, bez napisu sugerującego picie. Mimo to wypija zawartość i w efekcie rośnie tak bardzo, że wypełnia sobą cały dom. Biały Królik nie może dostać się do środka, więc wysyła tam swego sługę, jaszczurkę imieniem Bill. Bill próbuje wejść przez komin, ale Alicja go wykopuje na zewnątrz. Biały Królik wrzuca do środka kamyki, które zamieniają się w ciastka. Alicja zjada ciastka, co sprawia, że znowu się zmniejsza. Wychodzi na zewnątrz, gdzie natyka się na tłum zwierząt. Spotyka olbrzymie szczeniątko, od którego musi się opędzać. W końcu widzi Gąsienicę, siedzącego na grzybie i palącego fajkę wodną. Alicja pyta, jak stać się większą, ale Gąsienica każe jej recytować wierszyk. Alicja robi to (zmieniając tekst w parodię). Gdy w końcu zawiedziona już odchodzi, Gąsienica wreszcie podpowiada jej, że jedna strona grzyba powiększa, a druga zmniejsza. Gąsienica zostawia ją samą. Alicja najpierw próbuje prawej strony, co sprawia że zmniejsza się, uderzając głową o własne stopy. Potem próbuje lewej strony i jej szyja rośnie do olbrzymich rozmiarów. Wysoko w koronach drzew atakuje ją Gołąb, który jest przekonany, że broni się przed wężem. Alicja próbuje go przekonać, że jest małą dziewczynką. W końcu nadgryzając raz jeden, raz drugi kawałek grzyba, wraca do swoich normalnych rozmiarów. Alicja trafia na progi domu, gdzie stoją służący: Żaba i Ryba. Mimo ostrzeżeń jednego z nich, Alicja wchodzi do domu i spotyka Księżną, Kucharkę, Dziecko i Kota z Cheshire. Kucharka gotuje zupę i rzuca talerzami. W zupie jest za wiele pieprzu, co sprawia, że Alicja ciągle kicha. Stale rozzłoszczona Księżna podrzuca dziecko, recytując mu wiersz[18] "Do synka swego groźnie mów i bij go kiedy kicha..."[19] Kiedy kończy, daje dziecko Alicji, a sama idzie grać w krokieta z Królową. Ku zdumieniu Alicji dziecko zamienia się w prosiaka, więc go wypuszcza do lasu. Kot z Cheshire ciągle znika i pojawia się. Opowiada jej o Zwariowanym Kapeluszniku i Marcowym Zającu. W końcu znika powoli, zostawiając tylko swój uśmiech.

Alicja jest gościem na obłąkanej herbatce, wraz z Szalonym Kapelusznikiem, Marcowym Zającem i Susłem. Wszyscy zadają Alicji mnóstwo logicznych zagadek i wytykają najmniejsze nielogiczności jej wypowiedzi. Alicja czuje się obrażona i odchodzi, twierdząc, że to najgłupsza herbatka, na jakiej kiedykolwiek była. Znajduje drzwi w pniu drzewa i wchodzi do środka. W ten sposób trafia znowu do długiego przedsionka, do którego wpadła na początku. Tym razem najpierw otwiera maleńkie drzwi, zjada zachowany kawałek grzyba i wkracza do pięknego ogrodu. W ogrodzie trafia na trzy karty do gry – ogrodników przemalowujących róże na krzewie, gdyż omyłkowo posadzili białe róże w miejsce czerwonych. Wkracza procesja kart, królów i królowych (wraz z Białym Królikiem). Alicja spotyka bezlitosną Królową Kier, a także Króla Kier. Królowa każe ściąć trzech ogrodników. Do ścięcia jednak nie dochodzi. Rozpoczyna się gra w krokieta, z flamingami w roli kijów i jeżami jako piłkami. Królowa skazuje kolejne postaci na ścięcie (choć jej polecenia nie są wykonywane), a Alicja spotyka kolejny raz Kota z Cheshire. Królowa nakazuje ściąć mu głowę, co napotyka na trudności, gdyż Kot akurat postanowił ukazać się jako sama głowa. Kot jest własnością Księżnej, więc Królowa każe wypuścić Księżną z więzienia i przyprowadzić. Księżna zostaje przyprowadzona na pola krykietowe. Jest już mniej rozzłoszczona. Twierdzi, że to pieprz ją denerwował. Królowa Kier pokazuje Alicji Gryfona, który zabiera ją do Żółwiciela[20]. Żółwiciel jest bardzo smutny, mimo że nie ma ku temu powodów. Próbuje opowiedzieć swoją smętną historię o tym, jak był żółwiem, jednak przerywa mu Gryfon, gdyż nadeszła ich kolej w krokiecie. Żółwiciel i Gryfon tańczą kadryla z homarami, śpiewając Oto jest głos homara. Potem Żółwiciel śpiewa Piękną zupę, ale Alicja i Gryfon muszą w trakcie odejść, gdyż rozpoczyna się proces sądowy. Sądzony jest Walet Kier, oskarżony o kradzież ciastek. Ławnikami jest dwanaście zwierząt, w tym jaszczurka Bill, sędzią Król Kier, a woźnym sądowym Biały Królik. Pierwszym świadkiem jest Kapelusznik, który ani trochę nie pomaga w procesie. Następnie zeznaje Kucharka, a kolejnym świadkiem ma być Alicja, która już od początku procesu zaczyna znów rosnąć. Sporo już większa Alicja przypadkowo kopie ławników, następnie stara się wykazać bezsens procesu. Królowa Kier skazuje ją na śmierć. Alicja nazywa ich wszystkich talią kart, co sprawia, że jako zwykłe karty wirują wokół niej. Siostra Alicji budzi ją. Wszystko okazuje się snem. Alicja wraca do swego domu. Siostra śni sen o dzieciństwie, o Krainie Czarów z opowieści Alicji. Chapter One – Down the Rabbit Hole: Alice is feeling bored and drowsy while sitting on the riverbank with her elder sister. She then notices a talking, clothed White Rabbit with a pocket watch run past. She follows it down a rabbit hole when suddenly she falls a long way to a curious hall with many locked doors of all sizes. She finds a small key to a door too small for her to fit through, but through it she sees an attractive garden. She then discovers a bottle on a table labelled "DRINK ME," the contents of which cause her to shrink too small to reach the key which she has left on the table. She eats a cake with "EAT ME" written on it in currants as the chapter closes. Chapter Two – The Pool of Tears: Chapter Two opens with Alice growing to such a tremendous size her head hits the ceiling. Alice is unhappy and, as she cries, her tears flood the hallway. After shrinking down again due to a fan she had picked up, Alice swims through her own tears and meets a Mouse, who is swimming as well. She tries to make small talk with him in elementary French (thinking he may be a French mouse) but her opening gambit "Où est ma chatte?" ("Where is my cat?") offends the mouse and he tries to escape her. Chapter Three – The Caucus Race and a Long Tale: The sea of tears becomes crowded with other animals and birds that have been swept away by the rising waters. Alice and the other animals convene on the bank and the question among them is how to get dry again. The Mouse gives them a very dry lecture on William the Conqueror. A Dodo decides that the best thing to dry them off would be a Caucus-Race, which consists of everyone running in a circle with no clear winner. Alice eventually frightens all the animals away, unwittingly, by talking about her (moderately ferocious) cat. Chapter Four – The Rabbit Sends a Little Bill: The White Rabbit appears again in search of the Duchess's gloves and fan. Mistaking her for his maidservant, Mary Ann, he orders Alice to go into the house and retrieve them, but once she gets inside she starts growing. The horrified Rabbit orders his gardener, Bill the Lizard, to climb on the roof and go down the chimney. Outside, Alice hears the voices of animals that have gathered to gawk at her giant arm. The crowd hurls pebbles at her, which turn into little cakes. Alice eats them, and they reduce her again in size. Chapter Five – Advice from a Caterpillar: Alice comes upon a mushroom and sitting on it is a blue Caterpillar smoking a hookah. The Caterpillar questions Alice and she admits to her current identity crisis, compounded by her inability to remember a poem. Before crawling away, the caterpillar tells Alice that one side of the mushroom will make her taller and the other side will make her shorter. She breaks off two pieces from the mushroom. One side makes her shrink smaller than ever, while another causes her neck to grow high into the trees, where a pigeon mistakes her for a serpent. With some effort, Alice brings herself back to her normal height. She stumbles upon a small estate and uses the mushroom to reach a more appropriate height.

Chapter Six – Pig and Pepper: A Fish-Footman has an invitation for the Duchess of the house, which he delivers to a Frog-Footman. Alice observes this transaction and, after a perplexing conversation with the frog, lets herself into the house. The Duchess's Cook is throwing dishes and making a soup that has too much pepper, which causes Alice, the Duchess, and her baby (but not the cook or grinning Cheshire Cat) to sneeze violently. Alice is given the baby by the Duchess and to her surprise, the baby turns into a pig. The Cheshire Cat appears in a tree, directing her to the March Hare's house. He disappears but his grin remains behind to float on its own in the air prompting Alice to remark that she has often seen a cat without a grin but never a grin without a cat. Chapter Seven – A Mad Tea-Party: Alice becomes a guest at a "mad" tea party along with the March Hare, the Hatter, and a very tired Dormouse who falls asleep frequently, only to be violently woken up moments later by the March Hare and the Hatter. The characters give Alice many riddles and stories, including the famous 'Why is a raven like a writing desk?'. The Hatter reveals that they have tea all day because Time has punished him by eternally standing still at 6 pm (tea time). Alice becomes insulted and tired of being bombarded with riddles and she leaves claiming that it was the stupidest tea party that she had ever been to. Chapter Eight – The Queen's Croquet Ground: Alice leaves the tea party and enters the garden where she comes upon three living playing cards painting the white roses on a rose tree red because The Queen of Hearts hates white roses. A procession of more cards, kings and queens and even the White Rabbit enters the garden. Alice then meets the King and Queen. The Queen, a figure difficult to please, introduces her trademark phrase "Off with his head!" which she utters at the slightest dissatisfaction with a subject. Alice is invited (or some might say ordered) to play a game of croquet with the Queen and the rest of her subjects but the game quickly descends into chaos. Live flamingos are used as mallets and hedgehogs as balls and Alice once again meets the Cheshire Cat. The Queen of Hearts then orders the Cat to be beheaded, only to have her executioner complain that this is impossible since the head is all that can be seen of him. Because the cat belongs to the Duchess, the Queen is prompted to release the Duchess from prison to resolve the matter. Chapter Nine – The Mock Turtle's Story: The Duchess is brought to the croquet ground at Alice's request. She ruminates on finding morals in everything around her. The Queen of Hearts dismisses her on the threat of execution and she introduces Alice to the Gryphon, who takes her to the Mock Turtle. The Mock Turtle is very sad, even though he has no sorrow. He tries to tell his story about how he used to be a real turtle in school, which the Gryphon interrupts so they can play a game. Chapter Ten – Lobster Quadrille: The Mock Turtle and the Gryphon dance to the Lobster Quadrille, while Alice recites (rather incorrectly) "'Tis the Voice of the Lobster". The Mock Turtle sings them "Beautiful Soup" during which the Gryphon drags Alice away for an impending trial. Chapter Eleven – Who Stole the Tarts?: Alice attends a trial whereby the Knave of Hearts is accused of stealing the Queen's tarts. The jury is composed of various animals, including Bill the Lizard, the White Rabbit is the court's trumpeter, and the judge is the King of Hearts. During the proceedings, Alice finds that she is steadily growing larger. The dormouse scolds Alice and tells her she has no right to grow at such a rapid pace and take up all the air. Alice scoffs and calls the dormouse's accusation ridiculous because everyone grows and she cannot help it. Meanwhile, witnesses at the trial include the Hatter, who displeases and frustrates the King through his indirect answers to the questioning, and the Duchess's cook. Chapter Twelve – Alice's Evidence: Alice is then called up as a witness. She accidentally knocks over the jury box with the animals inside them and the King orders the animals be placed back into their seats before the trial continues. The King and Queen order Alice to be gone, citing Rule 42 ("All persons more than a mile high to leave the court"), but Alice disputes their judgement and refuses to leave. She argues with the King and Queen of Hearts over the ridiculous proceedings, eventually refusing to hold her tongue. The Queen shouts her familiar "Off with her head!" but Alice is unafraid, calling them out as just a pack of cards; just as they start to swarm over her. Alice's sister wakes her up from a dream, brushing what turns out to be some leaves and not a shower of playing cards from Alice's face. Alice leaves her sister on the bank to imagine all the curious happenings for herself.

Trafia na przedmieścia pobliskiego miasteczka, gdzie po pokonaniu nieufności mieszkańców, staje się ich nadwornym ogrodnikiem i fryzjerem, kreując najwymyślniejsze rzeźby i fryzury. Nikt nie próbuje się z nim zaprzyjaźnić, czy choćby okazać większego zainteresowania, traktując go jak kolejny przedmiot użytkowy. Jedynie energiczna akwizytorka kosmetyków okazuje mu współczucie i zaprasza, by zamieszkał z jej rodziną. Tu poznaje śliczną córkę gospodyni - Kim, z pozoru równie wrażliwą jak on. Mimo to Edward nadal nie znajduje bratniej duszy. Film został zrealizowany wg scenariusza, który powstał na podstawie dziecięcej wizji jego twórcy - Tima Burtona.

The owner of a huge castle, situated on a hill, brings to life the extraordinary cyborg boy, Edward. Instead, it has a pair of scissors hand, which he uses very well. He is a true artist, being very sensitive. After the death of its creator boy leaves the walls of the castle and moves in the world. Goes to the suburbs nearby town, where after defeating distrust inhabitants, becomes their court gardener and a hairdresser, creating more elaborate sculptures and hairstyles. Nobody is trying to make friends with him, or even be greater interest, treating it as a further object of utility. Only energetic akwizytorka cosmetics turns compassion and invites him to live with her family. Here he meets a beautiful daughter housewife - Kim, seemingly as sensitive as he is. Prosto z piekła, autorstwa Alana Moore'a i Eddiego Campbella. Głównym bohaterem jest inspektor Frederick Abberline, próbujący wytropić seryjnego mordercę londyńskich prostytutek zwanego Kubą Rozpruwaczem. Główne role zagrali Johnny Depp, Heather Graham i Ian Holm. Ekranizacja komiksu o Kubie Rozpruwaczu. Inspektor Frederick Abberline jest uzależniony od opium i będąc pod wpływem środków odurzających widzi ofiary mordercy. Postanawia rozwikłać zagadkę Kuby Rozpruwacza, w czym pomaga mu jedna z prostytutek - Mary Kelly.

From Hell is a 2001 American horror mystery film directed by the Hughes brothers and loosely based on the graphic novel From Hell by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell about the Jack the Ripper murders. In 1888, Mary Kelly (Heather Graham) and her small group of London prostitutes trudge through unrelenting daily misery. When their friend Ann Crook is kidnapped, they are drawn into a conspiracy with links higher up than they could possibly imagine. The kidnapping is soon followed by the gruesome murder of another woman, Martha Tabram (Samantha Spiro); and it becomes apparent that they are being hunted down, one by one as various prostitutes are murdered and mutilated post-mortem. The murder of Martha and her companions grabs the attention of Whitechapel Police Inspector Frederick Abberline (Johnny Depp), a brilliant, yet troubled, man whose police work is often aided by his psychic "visions." His colleague, Sergeant Peter Godley, tries to grasp his friend's wild theories. Abberline's investigations reveal that the murders, while gruesome, imply that an educated person is responsible due to the precise and almost surgical method used. Ann is found a few days later in a workhouse having been lobotomized after officials and doctors supposedly found her to be insane. It is implied this was done to silence her. Abberline consults Sir William Gull (Ian Holm), a physician to the Royal Family, drawing on his experience and knowledge of medicine. These findings, coupled with his superiors impeding his investigations, point to a darker and organized conspiracy. Abberline becomes deeply involved with the case, which takes on personal meaning to him when he and Mary begin to fall in love. Abberline deduces that Freemason influence is definitely present in these crimes. His superior, a high ranking Freemason himself, then makes direct intervention and suspends Abberline. It is then revealed that Gull is the killer. He has been killing the witnesses to painter Albert Sickert (Mark Dexter)'s forbidden Catholic marriage to Crook (Joanna Page), who bore his legitimate daughter Alice. Sickert is actually Prince Edward, grandson of reigning Queen Victoria (Liz Moscrop), and therefore Alice is heiress to the British throne. Gull tells Abberline that "mankind will remember him for giving birth to the 20th century." Abberline draws his gun, but before he is able to shoot Gull, he is knocked out by one of Gull's henchmen. Gull tries to have Abberline eliminated without leaving any witnesses, but Abberline fights back and kills two of the assassins by overturning a carriage. Gull himself is a Freemason and his increasingly sinister behavior lends an insight into his murderous, but calculated, mind. Rather than publicly charge Gull, the Freemasons decide to lobotomize Gull to protect the Freemasons and the Royal Family from the scandal. Gull defiantly states he has no equal among men, remaining unrepentant up to his lobotomy, resulting in him becoming invalid just as Ann had been. Abberline tries to save Mary, but arrives too late, and blames his superior for not helping him nor Godley on the cases. Abberline does nothing but watch Mary's mutilated body being taken away. Abberline receives a mysterious letter, which he soon realizes is from Mary, but he decides not to look for her as a way to offer her protection, as the Freemasons may be watching his every move. Abberline decides to burn the letter, knowing that he can never have a normal life. Mary Kelly does not die; Gull earlier mistook Ada, whom Liz said was from France (but is from Brussels in Belgium), for Mary and he kills her instead. Mary lives with Alice in a cottage on a cliff by the sea. Abberline is found dead of an opium overdose, knowing he can never see Mary again without endangering her. Sergeant Godley comes to pay his respects for the Inspector.

Zdjęcia do filmu zostały zrobione w Flavigny-sur-Ozerain we Francji. Chocolat (French pronunciation: ​[ʃɔkɔla]) is a 2000 American-British romantic drama film based on the novel of the same name by Joanne Harris, and was directed by Lasse Hallström. Adapted by screenwriter Robert Nelson Jacobs, Chocolat tells the story of a young mother, played by Juliette Binoche, who arrives at the fictional, repressed French village of Lansquenet-sous-Tannes with her six-year-old daughter and opens La Chocolaterie Maya, a small chocolaterie. Her chocolate quickly begins to change the lives of the townspeople. The film was shot in the village of Flavigny-sur-Ozerain[1] in Burgundy, France, and on the Rue De L'ancienne Poste in Beynac-et-Cazenac on the Dordogne River in Dordogne, France. The river scenes were filmed at Fonthill Lake at Fonthill Bishop in Wiltshire, England and interior scenes at Shepperton Studios, Surrey, England. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. It was also nominated for eight BAFTAs, and four Golden Globes. Judi Dench won a Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance in the film.

Sweeney Todd first appears sailing with Anthony Hope back to London. he sees his home as a cruel place since of his backstory as Benjamin Barker, a happy loving caring barber with a beautiful wife Lucy and a baby girl Johanna. Judge Turpin, who is also in love with Lucy, has Benjamin arrested and sent to Australia on false charges 15 years ago. He heads over back to the old barbershop and sees Mrs. Lovett's pie shop. He asks her about the barber's shop above. Mrs. Lovett, having a secret crush on Todd when he was Benjamin Barker tells him that Turpin has been courting Lucy since his arrest and Beadle lures her to his house via a masqurade ball. Lucy is then raped by Judge Turpin after having drinks. She tells a heartbroken and scarred Todd that Turpin also stole his daughter Johanna as his ward. However, she saved his razors and tells him he can be a barber again. Todd takes the offer and decides to use his razors to get revenge on Turpin. First, he and lovett go to the corner to see Pirelli and his assitant Toby sell Pirelli's Miracle Elixer a supposed hair tonic. Todd and Lovett figure it out: It was concucted from urine and ink. Todd chalenges Pirelli to a shaving contest for five pounds. While Pirelli boasts and brags, Todd does the deed right and wins. Todd tells Beadle Bamford where he is and Beadle makes an appointment. The next day, Todd's patience grows thin, but Mrs. Lovett tells him to wait. Anthony comes to the shop and tells Todd of the girl he fell in love with Johanna. Todd realizes that his daughter's grown up and he's at Turpin's home. Todd allows Anthony to hide him and Johanna in his shop for a while before they elope. Pirelli and Toby then enter the shop, but while Mrs. Lovett distracts Toby with her pies, Todd confronts Pirelli who reveals himself as Davy Collins(Daniel O'Higgins in the play), Todd's former apprentice. He blackmails Todd with an amoutn of money or he'll go to Beadle. Enraged, Todd hits him with the teapot(strangles him in the play) before putting him in a trunk. After distracting Toby by sending him down to the pieshop, Todd finally opens the trunk and slits Pirelli's throat, killing him. Todd tells Lovett of his deed and explains the situation. Just then Turpin enters the shop, hoping for a shave for he pleasures himself to marry Johanna by force to end his lust for her. Todd sees this as an oppurtunity to kill him and distracts him with many visions of pretty women. Todd almost goes in for the kill but he was inturrupted by Anthony who announces him and Johanna's elopement. This enrages Turpin and he vows never to come back. This makes Todd angry and declares that everyone deserves to die until he kills Turpin for what he done to Lucy and Johanna. However, Mrs. Lovett wonders what to do about Pirelli's body, so Todd suggests finding a place to bury him. That would work, but Mrs. Lovett suggests that she'd take the corpses and bake them. Todd takes this idea and the whole crime wave begins, though no one knows of it. Todd will never kill a man who has a family, hinting about his own family being broken by Turpin. One day, Mrs. Lovett suggests that she and Todd marry and move to a home by the sea after retirement. Todd is still in love with Lucy. Todd then notices Beadle entering the shop to investigate on the awful stench, but Todd takes this opportunity and kills him. He then hears from Mrs. Lovett that Toby has discovers their secret and escaped, before they set off to find and kill him. Todd's main focus: the Judge has gotten the letter and Todd rushes up to get ready. Todd sees the Beggar Woman in the shop and demands who she is and why is she here. She warns him of the Devil's Mistress(Mrs. Lovett) and the smell at the pie shop before she asks "Don't i know you, Mister?" Todd was about to answer when Turpin calls him. Todd, in a rush, kills the Beggar Woman and puts her down the chute. Turpin arrives and says that he gotten todd's letter saying Johanna repents and will become his bride. Todd offers a shave and reveals himself before he finally kills Turpin. He then notices Johanna in the chest and prepares to kill her too, but Mrs. Lovett's scream from below inturrupts him, allowing Johanna to escape. Todd rushes over and demands to know what's going on. Then Todd looks at the light and sees that the Beggar Woman he killed was his beloved wife Lucy. He learns from Mrs. Lovett that she lied to him so she can have Todd for herself. Todd feigns forgiveness and waltzes Mrs. Lovett into the oven. Todd cradles Lucy in his arms before Toby shows up, slits his throat and Todd bleeds to death. Todd will appear in "MCF and the Demon Barber" where his role is the same as in the movie, but he kind of shares a bond with Tracy, taking her under his wing for the time being.

Fabuła filmu znów obejmuje trzy główne postacie: Williama Turnera (granego przez Orlando Blooma), Kapitana Jacka Sparrowa (w tej roli Johnny Depp) i narzeczoną Willa, Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). Akcja filmu rozpoczyna się od aresztowania Willa i Elizabeth przed ich własnym ślubem. Zostają wtrąceni do lochu za pomaganie w ucieczce kapitanowi Jackowi Sparrowowi. Natomiast kapitan Czarnej Perły (właśnie Jack Sparrow) dowiaduje się od jednego z członków załogi „Latającego Holendra”, którego kapitanem jest demoniczny Davy Jones, że musi spłacić dług zaciągnięty u niego 13 lat temu w zamian za bycie kapitanem Czarnej Perły. Spłata długu polega na oddaniu swojej duszy na służbę na 100 lat na statek Jonesa (alternatywą jest zjedzenie „Czarnej Perły” wraz z kapitanem i załogą przez Krakena, morskiego potwora na usługach kapitana „Latającego Holendra”). Natomiast Will w zamian za wolność swoją lub ukochanej musi odnaleźć Jacka i zdobyć jego busolę. Will i Jack spotykają się na jednej z wysp Karaibów, którą zamieszkują ludożercy. Jack Sparrow zostaje przez nich uznany za boga w ludzkiej postaci, natomiast Will i załoga „Czarnej Perły” zostają jeńcami. Okazuje się, że tubylcy chcą uwolnić Jacka od jego cielesnej powłoki, którą zamierzają skonsumować. Willowi udaje się uciec i uratować Jacka. Razem wyruszają do czarownicy, która daje im rady co do tego, jak powinni postępować z Davym Jonesem. W drodze powrotnej mają nieszczęście spotkać statek-widmo „Latającego Holendra” z demoniczną załogą na pokładzie. Will dostaje się na jego pokład, aby ukraść jego kapitanowi klucz do tytułowej skrzyni. Na jego pokładzie spotyka swojego ojca, który oddał duszę, aby uchronić swojego syna przed losem pirata. Razem wyruszają na wyspę na której zakopana jest skrzynia. Równocześnie Will po zatopieniu okrętu dostaje się znów na „Latającego Holendra”, ale tym razem bez wiedzy załogi i kapitana. Elizabeth, Jack, Norrington oraz Will (z kluczem) lądują na wyspie, gdzie znajduje się skrzynia. Jednak między wspólnikami dochodzi do kłótni, gdyż każdy chce serca Davy’ego Jonesa, które znajduje się w skrzyni do innego celu. Walczą między sobą o klucz, a równocześnie załoga „Latającego Holendra” dociera także na wyspę. Jackowi udaje się ukraść serce, ale jemu z kolei kradnie je komodor. Ten dostarcza je zarządcy Kompanii, Beckettowi. Natomiast w drodze powrotnej, Czarną Perłę tylko z Jackiem na pokładzie zatapia Kraken wysłany przez rozzłoszczonego Davy’ego. Elizabeth, Will i reszta załogi dostaje się do czarownicy, która proponuje im pewien sposób uratowania Jacka. Ich nowym kapitanem zostaje kapitan Barbossa, znany z poprzedniej części „Piratów”. Historia nie kończy się na „Skrzyni umarlaka”. Pozostawiono otwarte zakończenie, a dalszy ciąg można poznać w trzeciej części „Piratów z Karaibów”, której tytuł brzmi „Na Krańcu Świata” („At World’s End”).

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - American feature film, the second part of the blockbuster 2003 film, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.  US premiere took place on 7 July 2006, and in Poland 21 July. The first weekend of the film's release in the United States resulted in ticket sales of $ 135.6 million.

The plot of the film again consists of three main characters: William Turner (Orlando Bloom played by), Captain Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) and his fiancee Villa, Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). The film begins with the arrest of Will and Elizabeth before their own wedding. Are thrown into a dungeon for helping Jack escape Sparrowowi captain. Po ponownej utracie swojego ukochanego okrętu, Czarnej Perły, ścieżka życiowa kapitana Jacka Sparrowa ponownie krzyżuje się z Angeliką, kobietą z jego przeszłości i córką Edwarda Teacha, szerzej znanego jako Czarnobrodego. Jack nie jest jednak pewien czy jest to miłość, czy próba wykorzystania go do odnalezienia legendarnej Fontanny Młodości. Zostaje zwerbowany do załogi statku Zemsta Królowej Anny, który jest własnością legendarnego pirata. Okazuje się, że statek ten skrywa wiele tajemnic m.in. żyje i słucha rozkazów kapitana, zieje ogniem, a jego załoga to przede wszystkim posłuszne mu zombie. Sam Czarnobrody kolekcjonuje zdobyte statki i zajmuje się voodoo. Jack odnajduje się w tej nieoczekiwanej przygodzie, jednak sam nie wie czego bardziej się w niej obawia: Czarnobrodego czy kobiety ze swojej przeszłości. Tymczasem wierny towarzysz pirata, Gibbs, zostaje pojmany przez angielskie władze i zaciągnięty do załogi kapitana Hektora Barbossy, który po kradzieży i straceniu Czarnej Perły został korsarzem. On, a także Hiszpanie, zmierzają do Źródła Młodości. Podczas podróży okazuje się, że Barbossie nie chodzi o Źródło, lecz o zemstę na Czarnobrodym, który zatopił Czarną Perłę.

Córka gubernatora Jamajki, Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), zostaje porwana przez piratów. Na ratunek dziewczynie rusza jej przyjaciel z dzieciństwa, Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), od dawna w niej zakochany, nie mający jednak złudzeń co do możliwości małżeństwa ze względu na różniący ich status społeczny. Will prosi o pomoc pirata, zawadiackiego i szelmowskiego kapitana Jacka Sparrowa (Johnny Depp). Sparrow zgadza się mu pomóc, mając w tym swój ukryty cel. Pragnie wyrwać Czarną Perłę, swój dawny okręt, z rąk nikczemnego kapitana Barbossy (Geoffrey Rush), który dziesięć lat wcześniej, jeszcze jako pierwszy oficer kapitana Jacka, wzniecił bunt wśród załogi i porzucając Jacka na bezludnej wyspie, zagarnął jego statek. Jackowi zostawiono wtedy pistolet z jedną kulą, na wypadek gdyby wolał samobójstwo niż śmierć z głodu i pragnienia. Sparrow poprzysiągł jednak przeżyć i zachować tę kulę, aż nadarzy się okazja do zemsty na Barbossie. I oto teraz wydaje się, że nadszedł stosowny moment. Odzyskanie Perły nie będzie jednak proste – na statku i jego załodze ciąży bowiem straszliwa klątwa: są oni żywymi szkieletami, których prawdziwą naturę ujawnia tylko światło księżyca – za dnia przybierają normalną postać. Klątwa została nałożona na znaleziony przez Barbossę i jego załogę skarb Cortéza – osiemset osiemdziesiąt dwa złote medaliony, ofiarowane przez Azteków na okup Hiszpanom, aby zaprzestali rzezi Indian. Gdy Cortéz nie dotrzymał obietnicy, azteccy bogowie przeklęli złoto i każdego, kto weźmie choćby jeden medalion ze skrzyni. Will asks for help pirate and szelmowskiego swashbuckling Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp). Sparrow agrees to help him with this their hidden agenda.
